Inside the Stadium

Read all the important information you need to know once inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a matchday

The Stadium

The stadium has nine floors – Levels 1, 2, 4 and 5 are accessible to our general admission fans.

Our stadium has prided itself on creating the ultimate matchday experience, providing fans the ability to visit all areas and places of interest regardless of where you are sitting.

Around the concourses are areas for pop-up experiences, including promotions and competitions, Legend appearances and other selected entertainment.

Lift Policy

Use of lifts is restricted to those who are on our Disability Access Scheme or possess a Lift Pass.

Access to lifts for all other fans will be at the discretion of stewards should there be available capacity.

Cashless Payments

We are proud to deliver a fully cashless stadium as we aim to provide the best possible fan experience at our home.

No cash is accepted for any purchase made within the Stadium and its surrounding campus, including the Tottenham Experience and The M Cafe. The result is:

  • Increased speed of service and shorter queue times.
  • More payment options – bank cards, mobile, gift card.
  • Improved hygiene – catering staff won’t be handling cash.

All payments can be made using the following methods:

  • All major contactless debit and credit cards, with chip and pin applying for purchases over £30.
  • Mobile and wearable payment, including Apple Pay and Google Pay - this method supports high-value contactless payments.
  • Gift Card - traditional Tottenham Hotspur Gift Cards are available in Spurs Shops and can be used as a further payment method.

Increased Hygiene

Additional hand sanitiser stations have been installed throughout the concourses that we encourage fans to use, as well as in all washrooms. We also encourage fans to bring their own hand sanitiser with them if possible, in bottles no larger than 50ml.

Enhanced cleaning measures – including infection control fogging, electrostatic spraying and disinfecting – will be taking place pre, during and post-event.

Safeguarding

If you have concerns for your safety or the safety of others around you, please speak to one of our stewards (who will be wearing high visibility jackets). They report directly to the stadium Safety Team and are able to access specialist assistance quickly if required.

Please note that children under the age of 14 must attend under the care and supervision of a responsible adult for the full duration of their time in the stadium. This is to ensure their wellbeing and safety.

Young people (age 14-18) are permitted to attend unaccompanied. However, should the need for help arise, our stewarding team will be available to respond under the guidance of the matchday safety team.

No Smoking Policy

Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is not permitted inside the stadium.

Supervision of under 14's

To ensure wellbeing and safety, all children under the age of 14 must always be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult (aged 18+).

Children aged 14-17
  • Children aged 14 and over can attend the Stadium unaccompanied.
  • Children aged 14-17 will be in an adult environment and we ask that parents and carers use discretion as to whether their child is able to make decisions to keep themselves safe.
  • Parents and carers of 14-17 year olds should also consider the times of day and distances of travel to and from the Stadium and any risks associated with their travel.
  • Should the need for help arise, our stewarding team will be available to respond under the guidance of the matchday safety team.
Wellbeing

We want all young fans to enjoy their experience in the Stadium.

Please ensure that you support their needs before your own.

    • Please ensure that you bring appropriate clothing for your children as our stadium is an outdoor environment.
    • There are water fountains available throughout the stadium to ensure that children remain appropriately hydrated.
    • Please plan for children to eat at regular intervals during their time at the stadium.
    • Children may feel overwhelmed by large crowds.
Ticketing
  • Everyone entering the Stadium is required to have an individual ticket and seat; this includes babies in arms.
  • Please check the specific policy around the event you are attending, as this can vary. For some events, including football fixtures, you will need to purchase a ticket for babies and young children. We ask all parents and guardians to carefully consider if a football stadium is an appropriate environment before bringing a very small child to the ground.
  • For Under 18s who do not have a compatible mobile device to which they can download their digital tickets, please refer to our Digital Ticket FAQs for further guidance.
Wellbeing
  • Plan for the possibility of becoming temporarily separated from your child in a crowd:
    • Ensure they know where they are seated and have your phone number.
    • Agree a meeting place, as appropriate for your child’s age.
    • Tell your child to notify a steward if separated.
  • If you become separated from your child, please notify the nearest steward immediately, providing as much detail as possible (name, age, appearance, place last seen).
Separated Children
  • Please accompany any under-14s to the toilet.
  • If you are of the opposite sex to your child, please wait outside their toilet for them.
  • If you are of the opposite sex to your child and you also need to use the toilet, please seat your child in a rest seat on the concourse and return to them immediately or notify a nearby steward for awareness.
Toilet Use
  • Please accompany any under-14s to the toilet.
  • If you are of the opposite sex to your child, please wait outside their toilet for them.

Babies and Toddlers

Baby Changing

There are several changing facilities within the Stadium, situated inside  toilets or our medical rooms. Please speak to a steward, once inside the stadium, to locate the changing facility nearest to you.
Please be mindful of the Stadium Bag Policy in respect of your baby changing bag.

Buggies & Pushchairs

Please note, there are no facilities within the Stadium for storing pushchairs & buggies.

Excessive stimulation

Major events may involve prolonged exposure to levels of stimulation that are contra-indicated for children in early development stages, including excessively loud sounds, sudden noises, pyrotechnics, flashing lights, and large crowds. It may not be appropriate to bring younger children to the Stadium.

Ear defenders

Please ensure that all children under 5 years of age attending matches and other major events wear ear defenders while at their seat. There is increasing research into the susceptibility of young children to experiencing hearing impairments from prolonged exposure to loud noises.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding your baby is welcome in the open spaces throughout the stadium and we are supportive of the London Borough of Haringey’s Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme.

Underage Drinking
  • It is a criminal offence to offer an alcoholic drink to a child under legal age in the Stadium. Doing so may lead to prosecution.
  • Any child perceived to be drinking alcohol will be referred to the Welfare & Safeguarding team. This includes non-alcoholic beer which should not be served to Under-18s.Â
