Tyrese shortlisted for Premier League 2 prize again

Tyrese Hall has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for the second month in a row.

The midfielder has been in excellent form for our Under-21s since the start of the season and has now been shortlisted for October’s divisional prize as a result.

After scoring the opening goal in our 2-0 home victory over Leicester City on 18 October with a deft chip over goalkeeper Harry French, the 21-year-old scored from the penalty spot before providing the assist for Elisha Sowunmi’s stoppage-time winner in a 2-1 triumph at Middlesbrough a week later.

Ahead of Sunday’s home match against Chelsea, he’s now up to five goals in six Premier League 2 games this term.

Tyrese was also shortlisted for September’s Player of the Month award, but ultimately lost out to Chelsea’s Reggie Watson.

This time around, his fellow nominees are Adler Nascimento of Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest’s Fuad Smith, Norwich City’s Luke Towler, Trey Samuel-Ogunsuyi of Sunderland, George Chubinidze and Charlie Stevens of AFC Bournemouth and Charlie Smith of Derby County.

The nominees were selected by the Premier League Football Development Panel, who will also decide the winner.
