Fernandes nominated for Premier League's Player of the Matchweek
Mateus Fernandes is up for the Premier League's Player of the Matchweek crown - and he needs your help!
Back in the starting XI, the midfielder starred as we overcame Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Making his first start since before the international break, the Portuguese man was at the heart of everything we did, and that showed in the statistics with the former West Ham man leading on multiple fronts.
Watch - Fernandes' post match reaction
In a double pivot alongside fellow summer recruit Sandro Tonali, Mateus completed the most passes (102), created the most chances (2), had the most touches (124), delivered the most crosses (5) and executed the most tackles in the game (5).
Already named your Player of the Match, our number 18's performance has now been recognised by the Premier League as he has been shortlisted for the competition's Player of the Matchweek title.
To take that crown though, he needs your help. To support our Mateus, submit your vote for him via the link below. Voting is now open and will close on Wednesday 28 October at 12 noon.
