Martin shortlisted for WSL Manager of the Month award

Martin Ho’s impressive start to his second Women’s Super League campaign has been recognised with a nomination for the league’s Manager of the Month award for September.

Our Head Coach, who has accumulated 14 wins in the competition since taking the role last summer, has enjoyed a stunning start to the season as we currently sit second in the table.

Continuing to build on his front footed, attacking style of play on the team that impressed in his maiden campaign last term, the former SK Brann boss has guided us through our first four league games of the season unbeaten with 10 points from a possible 12.

In that time, we have scored a remarkable 15 goals, with 11 of those coming in our last two WSL games, kept two clean sheets and conceded just two goals. These included an emphatic 7-0 win away at Crystal Palace and last weekend, a dominant 4-0 victory over Aston Villa at Brisbane Road.

Picking up three victories in September, Martin has now recorded 14 wins in total in the WSL, only two shy of Rehanne Skinner’s total of 16 – the most by any Spurs Head Coach in the competition’s history.

Also in contention for the award are Chelsea’s Sonia Bompastor, Manchester City’s Andree Jeglertz and London City Lionesses’ Eder Maestre.

As usual, fan votes will help to decide the winners - cast your vote via the link below to give your backing to Martin.

Voting closes at 12noon on Monday 11 September.
