Chelsea caretaker manager Calum McFarlane is set to assess Levi Colwill’s availability prior to our trip to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old defender has completed 90 minutes in back-to-back games for the Blues since returning from a nine-month knee injury lay-off.
McFarlane hinted, however, that his minutes may need to be managed across their final two games of the season – possibly including Tuesday night’s London derby.
“We need to be careful with Levi,” he said on Monday. “He’s obviously off the back of a very serious injury and has performed well in those two games. We’ll see how he looks today, how he reports, and we'll make a decision on that.”
Romeo Lavia could be back involved for the hosts after missing Saturday’s FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City over a slight knock in the build-up to the game, while Benoit Badiashile and Mamadou Sarr are available for selection after missing out at Wembley.
