Gallagher nominated for Premier League's Player of the Matchweek

Conor Gallagher has been shortlisted for the Premier League's Player of the Matchweek after his standout performance in our win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

The midfielder was everywhere in the middle of the park and made his mark by rifling in his first Spurs goal to give us an early lead as we went on to secure a 2-1 success at Villa Park for back-to-back league victories.

Starting all four games since Roberto De Zerbi took charge, Conor has been playing with a renewed energy in recent weeks and delivered his best performance in our colours at the weekend - by his own admission - since his January move from Atletico Madrid.

Deployed in a more advanced midfield role, he set the tone in the press and won possession six times, came out on top in four duels and made three tackles to make his presence felt throughout the contest.

Taking your votes to take the crown in our Player of the Match poll, our number 22 has now been recognised by the league for his performance this match week.

He is one of seven players up for the prize and he needs your help if he is to take it.

Voting is now open and will close tomorrow (Wednesday 6 May) at midday (UK).
