We are delighted to announce that Ria Percival has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until June, 2022, with the option to extend for a further year.

The defender, who joined us from West Ham in July, 2019, has made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Club.

Having shown her versatility at full-back and defensive midfield in her debut season, Ria has played in 17 of our 23 games this term.

Equally accomplished on the international stage, Ria made her senior debut for New Zealand at 16 and holds their record for the most appearances with 151 caps to date.

Ria has played in four World Cups (2007, 2011, 2015, 2019), three Olympic games and is preparing for her fourth with the Football Ferns in Tokyo this summer.

I'm a massive fan of the Club and have been since a young age.

Ria said: "We are trying to build as a team and keep pushing our way up the table to establish ourselves in the league. Keeping experienced players and players that can bring, I suppose, a leadership role to the team - which I'm hoping to do - is important. It's something that I'm honoured to do and want to make the most of."
