Jenna throws first pitch at Slugger Field – Spurs Women USA Tour
On Thursday evening, Spurs Women legend Jenna Schillaci was invited to throw the first pitch ahead of the Louisville Bats game with the Omaha Storm Chasers.
As part of our Women’s First Team pre-season tour to Louisville, Kentucky, Jenna was asked to be guest of honour at the game - a role in which saw her called to take the field at Slugger Field and throw the first pitch.
A long-standing tradition in baseball, Jenna took a few practice throws alongside the Bats’ dugout before stepping up to the pitcher’s mound with a ball in hand and delivering it towards the home plate.
After the pitch, our former captain then presented a Spurs shirt to our hosts, the Louisville Bats.
