Jermain Defoe thrilled Spurs fans in Glasgow on a special evening with Glasgow Spurs Officials Supporters’ Club on Friday.

The legendary former Spurs and Rangers striker was back in the city to meet our supporters ahead of Saturday’s pre-season match for the Walter Tull Memorial Cup at Ibrox (3pm).

Hosted by Paul Coyte at a packed the packed Citation venue in this famous old city, ‘JD’ sat down for a Q&A session, talking through his incredible, 23-year career at the top level, before signing autographs and posing for selfies for everyone in the building.

Now 39, Jermain only called a day on his playing career in March. He is proudly sixth on our all-time goalscoring list with 143 goals in 363 appearances in two spells at the Club, 2004-2014. He signed for Rangers in 2018, and scored 32 goals in 74 appearances for the Ibrox side, picking up an SPL title winner’s medal in 2020/21.
