Cristian Stellini believes Pedro Porro has the experience and intelligence to be a success in lilywhite, but acknowledges he will need time to get up to speed.
Our deadline day loan signing from Sporting CP, Pedro is set to make his Spurs debut this afternoon after he was named in our starting XI for this afternoon's Premier League clash with Leicester City (kick-off 3pm).
Despite being just 23-years-old, the full-back arrived in north London with years of top-flight and European experience under his belt from his time in both Portugal and Spain, where he built a reputation on his ability on the ball and front foot.
Now with him set to make his first appearance in English football, Cristian believes that, while the Spaniard will need time to settle, he has everything to be a success here.
"Pedro Porro is a player with great experience and good quality because, technically, he is a great player," Cristian explained. "He comes from the Portugal league, he is a Spanish player. This type of player has the technical skill.
"This will be his first game so he will need time to improve and understand everything, but he is an intelligent player."
