Becky and Drew knocked out of World Cup by Colombia

Jamaica’s Women’s World Cup campaign came to an end with a 1-0 defeat to Colombia on Tuesday.

Jamaica’s Women’s World Cup campaign came to an end with a 1-0 defeat to Colombia on Tuesday.

Rebecca Spencer and Drew Spence both played 90 minutes as the Reggae Girlz were unable to advance to the Quarter-Finals following Catalina Use’s 51st-minute strike.

It was the first and only goal Spencer and Jamaica conceded at the tournament.

At just their second ever World Cup, Jamaica progressed from the group stages with 0-0 draws against France and Brazil, as well as a 1-0 win over Panama.

The result means there are now two Lilywhites remaining in the competition, Rosella Ayane’s Morocco playing France at midday on Tuesday and Bethany England’s Lionesses competing for a place in the Semi-Finals when they play Colombia on Saturday.

Here are the remaining fixtures for our Lilywhites involved in the competition.
