September international fixtures for our women’s first team players
A number of our women’s first team players are on international duty this week.
In the last round of international fixtures before the new Women’s Super League season begins, there are several UEFA Nations League matches on the agenda, including England v Scotland where Martha Thomas will hope to feature for Scotland for the first time since joining us earlier this month. Bethany England unfortunately misses out for the Lionesses as she continues her recovery from injury.
There are also a pair of Olympic Games qualifiers taking place between Jamaica and Canada, where Drew Spence and Becky Spencer could find themselves up against Shelina Zadorsky.
More club team-mates could go head-to-head when Celin Bizet’s Norway Under-23s host an England Under-23s squad that includes Asmita Ale, Jessica Naz and Grace Clinton in a friendly on Thursday.
