Cristian Stellini said Antonio Conte is ‘doing well’ after surgery and has already turned his attention back to football as he continues his recovery in Italy.
Antonio underwent a surgical procedure to remove his gallbladder on Wednesday.
Speaking to SPURSPLAY after training on Friday, ahead of Sunday’s huge home clash against Manchester City (4.30pm), Antonio’s assistant Cristian told us: “The surgery was good, and Antonio started to recover a day ago, after the surgery. Everything is going well, there is no problem, and he feels better, so we’re all happy for that.
“We communicated before the surgery, then after, but that was only to hear Antonio’s voice and to feel that he was okay after surgery. He called me back immediately after recovering from surgery and started to think about the next match. He said, ‘come on Cristian, we have to talk about the match, how was training?’ so then I feel that Antonio is really better!”
