A huge week for Dane Scarlett has just got even bigger as he has received his first ever call-up for England's Under-21s.
Having signed a new deal with the Club on Thursday (31 August) before joining Championship side Ipswich Town on a season-long loan, Dane has now been named in the England Under-21 squad for the first time.Â
A regular in the England Under-20 and Under-19 squads over the past couple of season, winning the Under-19 European Championship last year before representing the Under-20s at the World Cup during the summer, the forward will now link up with the Young Lions under new Head Coach Lee Carsley as they begin their European Championship qualification campaign.
This month, the Young Lions will face a qualifier against Luxembourg, making the trip to the central European nation on Monday 11 September for their group stage opener.
The Under-21s have been drawn into Group F for the qualification campaign alongside Azerbaijan, Northern Ireland, Serbia, Ukraine and Luxembourg.
