Rosella Ayane is the latest Lilywhite to qualify for the Women’s World Cup knockout stages after Morocco beat Colombia 1-0 on Thursday.
Morocco needed to better Germany’s result to progress from Group H. Germany drew 1-1 with South Korea, former Spurs midfielder So-hyun Cho on the scoresheet for the latter.
Ayane came on in the 86th minute of Thursday’s game, and will have the chance to feature in Morocco’s Round of 16 fixture at their first ever World Cup, which is against France at 12pm (UK) on Tuesday.
