Players react to Women's FA Cup victory over Man City

What a memorable afternoon at Brisbane Road on Sunday as we secured our place in the semi-final of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup after a penalty shootout success over Manchester City.

Bethany England cancelled out Mary Fowler’s opener, capitalising on City’s miscommunication in the backline to slot home into an empty net to force extra time.

Either side failed to find the winner in the additional 30 minutes, it went to penalties with Becky Spencer saving the visitors’ first two spot-kicks before Amy James-Turner calmly converted to ensure we won 4-3 in the shootout.

It sparked jubilant scenes on the pitch as book our place in the last four of the competition for the first-ever time. Here’s how the players have reacted to the game via their social media accounts…
