Drew Spence is back available for selection ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Super League clash against Leicester City.

Drew Spence is back available for selection ahead of our Barclays Women’s Super League clash against Leicester City on Sunday afternoon (2pm UK) at Brisbane Road.

The midfielder missed last weekend’s memorable victory over Manchester City in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup due to illness, but Robert Vilahamn confirmed that she returned to training this week and is back in contention.

Molly Bartrip, who has featured in every WSL game so far this season, was originally named in the starting XI to face City but, due to struggling with illness, the defender was withdrawn before kick-off.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday [14 March] afternoon, Robert admitted that a decision will be made on Molly closer to the time. He said: “Drew is back in training from her illness and has trained well.

“Molly was also back at the training ground on Thursday so she has taken steps from her illness, but we will have to wait until Saturday to decide whether she can play or not. Otherwise, we look strong and healthy.”
