Leicester v Spurs - Mauricio's preview
Mauricio Pochettino sees Leicester as a team with 'clear ideas' in terms of playing style.
We lock horns with the Foxes for the first time this season in the Premier League at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening (7.45pm).
It has been an entertaining fixture of late with nine goals in our last meeting on the final day of last season when we came from 3-1 down to win 5-4 at Wembley in May. Leicester beat us at the KP last November and in the previous meeting at the KP in May, 2017, we hit them for six with Harry Kane bagging four goals in a game for the first and only time so far.
Claude Puel's men come into the fixture unbeaten in six in the Premier League, albeit with four draws, including a 1-1 against former boss Claudio Ranieri's Fulham on Wednesday night. At the same time, we toppled Southampton 3-1 to move up to third.
"I think Leicester are a very good team," said Mauricio. "After the tragedy, they suffered a lot and we are so sorry for everyone there.
"They have a great manager, great players. I think they have a very good squad. It is a team that plays so well with clear ideas. They are doing a fantastic job.
"They are playing well and it will be tough - it's always tough to play them and it will be a massive challenge for us."
Leicester will, however, be without talisman Jamie Vardy - the striker misses out with a groin injury.
Mauricio added: "Vardy is a great player and means a lot for Leicester but they have a good squad and like us, they trust in all the players and if he (Puel) is not going to play one, he will play another that will perform in the best way."
