Everything on... Arsenal
We head to Arsenal for the second time this month with a place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup at stake on Wednesday night.
We needed penalties to overcome Watford in the third round of the competition on Dele Alli’s return to Milton Keynes before earning an impressive 3-1 victory at West Ham United in the fourth round, Heung-Min Son striking in either half before Fernando Llorente ensured we advanced.
Here’s everything you need to know about our opponents...
Team news
Arsenal will be hoping to bring in some defensive reinforcements after having to shuffle their pack for Sunday’s 3-2 defeat at Southampton. Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos served one-match bans for that game, Stavros Mavropanos (groin) and Sead Kolasinac (thigh) were not ready to return and Rob Holding is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee ligament injury. Hector Bellerin suffered a calf injury at St Mary’s and will miss this game though Stephan Lichtsteiner could feature despite going off in the closing stages. Danny Welbeck is out for some time with ankle ligament damage.
One to watch
Aaron Ramsey’s Arsenal career may draw to a close this summer but he remains a driving force and goal threat from the midfield. Ramsey became the youngest player to ever feature for Cardiff City, aged just 16 years and 124 days, and quickly caught the attention of top sides. He made just 21 appearances for the Bluebirds before moving to Arsenal in June, 2008, and made his Wales debut as a 17-year-old later that year. Injuries hampered Ramsey’s first three seasons in London but he became a regular in their side in the 2011/12 campaign. His purple patch came two years later as he plundered 15 goals for club and country before the end of November but injury again stalled his momentum. Ramsey has scored 60 goals for Arsenal and is closing in on 350 appearances for the club, with his international tally standing at 14 from 58 games. He has also won three FA Cups in his time at the Emirates.

Previous clash
The players are eager to hit back after suffering defeat at the Emirates at the start of the month. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored from an early penalty but we led at the break through Eric Dier’s header and Harry Kane’s spot kick. The exertions of our back-to-back games against Chelsea and Inter seemed to catch up with us after the interval, though, and Arsenal claimed the points through goals from Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira.
Arsenal in the Carabao Cup
The Gunners have progressed to this stage via two home ties against lower-league opposition. They overcame Brentford 3-1 in the third round with Danny Welbeck on target twice in the first half before Lacazette sealed their progression in the dying moments. Blackpool also made life difficult for them last time out, Paudie O'Connor setting up a tense final 24 minutes after Lichtsteiner and Emile Smith Rowe had put Unai Emery’s men in control.
Other quarter-final ties:
Tuesday
Leicester City 2-2 Manchester City (City won on penalties)
Middlesbrough 0-1 Burton Albion
Wednesday
Chelsea v Bournemouth
What they’re saying
Arsenal boss Unai Emery spoke about a 'reality check' after the Gunners lost 3-2 at Southampton on Saturday. He said: "We need to improve and also we need to continue doing our way in our process. It’s not a good result but this reality gives us more motivation to continue to work hard, finding a new thing to work on each day, and also it makes us demand a lot from ourselves in the way we work on this way."
Asked if we'll be more motivated after the Premier League derby on 2 December, he added: "I say to them that in every match, we need to respect the opposition. Against Southampton, against Tottenham, against Manchester United, against Huddersfield, it’s the same. This respect is by playing with a big motivation and a lot of excitement to win against them. We must respect this emotion in every moment. The emotion is not bad. I think showing our emotion, the players, the fans and me, is good. But every time we must respect them."
