"This is our team, everyone has made a contribution, everyone... one last push, one more opportunity, our way, be brave - let's go and play..."

The words of coach Wayne Burnett to his team in the changing room before the final of the 2023/24 Premier League 2 play-off final against Sunderland at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, brought to you by Knockout, the story of a dramatic final month of the campaign.

Knockout takes you into the heart of the squad as they played six matches in 22 days in a bid to win a treble. Already crowned champions of the league phase of the competition, now it was time for the end-of-season play-offs and the culmination of the Premier League Cup, with the team already progressed to the semi-finals.

What followed would test the team to the limit. Last-minute victories, wins in extra time and on penalties, a heartbreaking cup final loss quickly followed by the highs of lifting the PL2 play-off trophy.

Knockout brings the thoughts of Wayne, Academy Director Simon Davies and the players - skipper George Abbott, Jamie Donley, top scorer Will Lankshear, later voted PL2 Player of the Season, Alfie Dorrington, goalkeeper Luca Gunter, Nile John and Tyrese Hall are all interviewed.

We take you into the changing room, behind-the-scenes in training and accompany the players who travelled with the first team squad for the post-season match against Newcastle United in front of over 78,000 fans at Melbourne's iconic MCG before returning to finish their season with a flourish back in N17.

In the aftermath of the final, Wayne sums it all up: "Every day is enjoyable working with these players, every day, being part of the journey, part of their path, seeing people smile, seeing players develop, seeing players win things, seeing players get into the first team, seeing players make their debuts... why wouldn't you enjoy it?"
