As our home opener against Everton on Saturday (3pm UK) approaches, we should like to take the opportunity to remind supporters of how they may report incidents to us on matchdays - and to provide an update on the reports received and investigated in the 2023/24 season.
At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, we aim to create a safe and welcoming environment for all on matchdays. In sharing this information, we hope to encourage supporters to continue reporting incidents when they see them, and to highlight the actions we take when these reports are received.

Incident management - 2023/24 season update
During the 2023/24 season, the Club received and investigated 399 reports across home and away fixtures – an increase on the 195 investigations conducted in the 2022/23 season.
This increase is reflective of our ongoing efforts to increase awareness of matchday reporting methods and to ensuring that each report received is accurately logged and investigated. Of fans surveyed by the Club, just 6% reported experiencing anti-social behaviour on matchdays, down almost half from the preceding season.
All reports we receive are managed and investigated by the Club’s Safety team, who liaise with opposition clubs and local police forces where required. In many cases, reports are addressed and resolved in situ, meaning no further action is required beyond the matchday outcome.
In cases where investigations are unable to progress due to inconclusive evidence, follow-up measures are implemented at subsequent fixtures to gather additional evidence and prevent reoccurrence. Where an investigation establishes that an individual has committed a behavioural or ticketing offence, a sanction is issued in line with the Club’s Sanctions and Banning policy.

Reporting anti-social behaviour has a direct impact on reducing it – and we hope fans will continue to work with us to ensure that matchdays remain safe and enjoyable for all.
Fan education
Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has no place in our game. We will always take strong action against any supporter found to have used discriminatory language or engaged in discriminatory behaviour, including Club bans.
We also place a strong emphasis on education as a tool to tackle discrimination. Prior to any sanction being issued, a supporter will be invited to attend an educational session with an independent equality and diversity specialist. Genuine, positive engagement in the session may result in a sanction being reduced, while failure to attend the session will always result in the strongest possible sanction being issued.
Sanctions and Banning Policy
The Club’s Sanctions and Banning Policy is reviewed on a seasonal basis. The policy has been updated for 2024/25 and may be viewed via the link below...
