Richarlison starts in Brazil's five-star show against Bolivia

Richarlison led the line as Brazil began their FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign in style by beating Bolivia 5-1 in the early hours of Saturday.

Earning his 45th cap, Richy did everything but score and was twice denied by Bolivia goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra in the first half, the second a point-blank tip away on his line from Richy's downward header.

Richy played for 71 minutes, Brazil 4-0 up by the time he was substituted. Brazil's goals came from Neymar (2), Rodrygo (2) and Raphinha at the Estadio Olimpico do Para, Belem and they now top CONMEBOL qualifying on goal difference after the first round of matches - both Brazil and Argentina were unbeaten in qualfying for the 2022 World Cup.
