Hojbjerg on target as Denmark cruise to victory

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg thumped home with a rocket of a shot to get Denmark on their way to a 4-0 victory over San Marino in UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying last night (Thursday 7 September).
Picking up his 66th cap for his country, our central midfield rifled home from 16 yards on 26 minutes to open the deadlock at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen as the Danes continued their strong start to qualifying.
Joakim Mæhle and Jonas Wind added goals number two and three for the hosts to see them three to the good before the break. Former Spurs man Christian Eriksen rounded off the scoring, curling in from 30 yards out in stoppage time at the end of the second half to seal a fine night in the Danish capital.
Pierre's nation will now travel to group leaders Finland on Sunday - a game that would see the victors put firmly in control of Group H.
