Team news | Spurs vs Everton | Lo Celso and Johnson update, duo suspended

Fri 22 December 2023, 13:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Brennan Johnson and Giovani Lo Celso are both available for our Premier League clash with Everton.

Taking on the Toffees at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm UK), Giovani Lo Celso will return to the fold after missing last Friday's win at Nottingham Forest having been sidelined with a knock which he picked up in training.

Brennan, meanwhile, who was forced off midway through the first half on his return to the City Ground after taking a blow to the head, has trained all week and will also be an option for our Head Coach as we face the Blues.

We will be missing Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie for what will be our final game before Christmas with the pair suspended for the clash - Yves' red card at the City Ground sees him unavailable for our next four matches with it being his second dismissal of the campaign while Destiny picked up a one-match after being shown his fifth caution of the campaign in the win over Forest.

"Yes, Brennan's fine - he's trained all week," Ange confirmed in his pre-match chat with SPURSPLAY. " Everyone else is okay . We've got Giovani Lo Celso back. He's trained as well. He's available. Obviously we lose two the lads through suspension but, from last week, everyone else is okay."

James Maddison, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ashley Phillips and Micky van de Ven are long-term absentees and remain out of action.
