The Club can announce its matchday plans for Sunday’s home pre-season friendly with Shakhtar Donetsk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (2pm kick-off) - a match dedicated to the people of Ukraine.

The clash against the 14-time Ukrainian champions will see the Club raise funds for Shakhtar’s charitable foundation, Shakhtar Social, in support of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine as a result of the armed conflict with Russia.

A match dedicated to the people of Ukraine

• Plans confirmed for Sunday’s home friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 2pm KO
• Match tickets distributed to displaced Ukrainian families across North London, with children leading the teams out as mascots
• Ukrainian popstar Olya Polyakova to perform the country’s national anthem ahead of kick-off, accompanied by a visual tribute to the work being done to support those affected by the ongoing conflict
• Live shirt auction and text-to-donate messaging for Shakhtar Social – the club’s charitable foundation – to run throughout the game

The Club will make a financial contribution and an additional donation of net proceeds from ticket sales to Shakhtar Social, which has provided financial support, humanitarian and medical assistance to children and families across Ukraine since the conflict began in February, 2022.

In a further show of support, the Club is distributing match tickets to displaced Ukrainian families across North London, with children from those families leading the teams out as mascots on the day.

Ahead of kick-off, Ukrainian popstar Olya Polyakova will perform the country’s national anthem, accompanied by a visual tribute to the work being done to support those affected by the ongoing conflict.

This includes one of our very own supporters, Jon Dann, a Season Ticket Holder who been personally volunteering to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the war began, coordinating and leading a series of eight deliveries of medical supplies driven from London across Europe and into Ukraine. Jon will be appearing at half-time to tell his inspirational story.

Throughout the match, text-to-donate messaging for Shakhtar Social will appear on LED screens, with a live in-game auction of match shirts running on MatchWornShirt.com in aid of the charity.

Tickets for the match are on general sale and still available to purchase via eTicketing.
