New deal for Devine

We are delighted to announce that Alfie Devine has signed a new contract with the Club that will run until 2027.

The 18-year-old midfielder joined our Academy in the summer of 2020 and, after impressing at Under-18 and Development Squad levels, stepped up to make his first team debut in an FA Cup tie against Marine in January, 2021, where he became the Club's youngest-ever player and goalscorer at senior level.

Alongside Academy graduate Dane Scarlett, who is currently on loan at Portsmouth, Alfie joined up with England Under-19s in June, 2022, for the European Championship in Slovakia and was instrumental as the Young Lions won the tournament for a second time after overcoming Israel in the final of the competition.
