Team news ahead of Leeds - latest on Ryan, Deki and Richy

Fri 11 November 2022, 14:45|Tottenham Hotspur

Antonio Conte is hopeful Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison are ready to start against Leeds United in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

Both players came off the bench in our Carabao Cup tie at Forest on Wednesday night.

For Deki, that was his second appearance after missing 10 matches having returned from the September international break with injury. Richy came on for Harry Kane on the hour at the City Ground, his first action since picking up a calf problem against Everton on 15 October.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY after training on Friday and asked if Deki and Richy could be ready to start, Antonio told us: “I hope so. Deki had to play two games to get minutes and Richy, the 30 minutes he played against Forest he played with good intensity. I have one day to make the best decision for Deki and Richy.”

Unfortunately, Ryan Sessegnon looks to be sidelined with a minor muscle issue sustained in the second half against Forest.

Antonio added: “Ryan is okay, but not 100 per cent. Today, he didn’t train with us. All the (rest of) the players are available.”

Speaking later in his pre-match press conference, Antonio reported: “Sessegnon, today he didn’t train with us, he has a little problem and he’s not available for tomorrow’s game. About Richy and Deki, they had a training session, and I have one day to make the best decision.”
