Ashcroft and Keeley join Academy

We are pleased to confirm the additions of Tyrell Ashcroft and Josh Keeley to our Development Squad ahead of the start of the new season.

Versatile defender Tyrell, who turns 18 later this month, arrives from Reading, where he spent the majority of last season playing in their Under-23s while also making four senior appearances in the Championship.

Republic of Ireland youth international goalkeeper Josh, 19, joins from St Patrick’s Athletic, where he won league titles at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 levels and stepped up to make two senior appearances. During his time at the Dublin-based side, he was coached by Patrick Jennings, son of our legendary former goalkeeper and current Academy Goalkeeping Consultant Pat Jennings.

Tyrell and Josh will link up with Wayne Burnett’s Under-21 side as they begin their preparations for the 2022/23 Premier League 2 campaign.
