Ahead of our scheduled pre-season fixtures, we can confirm some initial changes* to our men’s first team squad numbers for the forthcoming 2022/23 campaign, along with the numbers allocated to some of our recent new recruits.

Cristian Romero has elected to wear the number 17 shirt moving forward, a number he has favoured previously in his career.

He has therefore vacated the number 4 shirt, which in turn has been assigned to Oliver Skipp, the home-grown midfielder switching from his previous squad number of 29.

Pape Matar Sarr, who has linked up with the Club for the first time after signing for us last summer, will now take over the number 29 shirt, while Richarlison will wear 9 and Fraser Forster has been assigned 20.

The above-named players will begin using their new numbers from our opening pre-season match against Team K League in Seoul today (Wednesday 13 July).

Additionally, during our pre-season fixtures, new arrivals Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma will wear numbers 22 and 38 respectively. Supporters should note, however, that the numbers worn by these two players during pre-season may not be representative of their finalised squad numbers for 2022/23. We shall provide further information on this, along with a squad number for fellow new recruit Clément Lenglet, in due course.

*All other squad numbers for existing players remain subject to change, with the full finalised list to be confirmed when the Club submits its final squad list to the Premier League prior to the opening weekend of the 2022/23 season. As always, please refer to the terms and conditions at point of sale when purchasing any replica shirt personalisation.
