We are delighted to confirm the signing of Nikola Karczewska.

The forward has signed a contract that will run until 2024 with the option to extend for a further year.

Nikola joined FC Fleury in June, 2021, and made 24 appearances, scoring 10 times. Finishing the year as the club’s top goalscorer, her contributions were key to Les Essonniennes achieving their highest ever finish in the Division 1 Féminine.

Prior to making the move to France, the 22-year-old spent two seasons at Gornik Leczna in her home country where she played a significant role in the success of the team. In 2019/20, her strikes helped the side clinch the Ekstraliga title and achieve qualification to the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The following season, she made an instant impact registering seven appearances and scoring four times in the European competition.

On the international stage, Nikola made her senior debut for Poland against Slovakia in June, 2019. She has since added a further twelve caps to her tally and found the back of the net seven times. In April, 2022, she scored two hat-tricks in one game as Poland ran out 12-0 winners against Armenia in their 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier.

Head Coach Rehanne added: “Niki is an exciting addition who will strengthen our forward line. Her performances in France and Poland over the last two years show how capable she is in front of goal, and we are looking forward to helping her push on in the WSL. She’s very determined with a great attitude.”
