Spurs in Korea - coaching, culture and Korean food...

The players were once again out and about in Seoul on Friday, immersing themselves in Korean culture, coaching girls at a special session and tasting the delights of a Korean barbeque.

Dier, Doherty at the Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art

Eric Dier and Matt Doherty travelled to Jongno-gu to visit the Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art, where they were given a tour of the key exhibitions.

Since its foundation in 1969, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, also known as MMCA, has shared its history with that of Korea’s modern and contemporary art and become one of the most iconic cultural spaces in the nation, with museums in Gwacheon, Deoksugung, Seoul and Cheongju in 2018.

Eric said: "Visiting the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art was a fantastic experience today. As a huge fan of art myself, it was a brilliant opportunity to be able to go and see some of the key cultural exhibitions here in Seoul - definitely one of the highlights of our trip!"

Davies, Tanganga meet Korean Englishman

Ben Davies and Japhet Tanganga were at a local restaurant in Yeongdeunhpo-gu to meet Josh Carrott from the popular You Tube channel, Korean Englishman. Set up by Josh and Ollie Kenal, Korean Englishman features videos on Korean culture and food. As of last year, the channel has over five million subscribers, and 1.4 billion views.

The players tried a variety of Korean food including barbeque beef and Korean fruit.

Girls' coaching session hosted by Nike and Active Modoo

Our Global Football Development coaching team were joined by Harry Kane, Troy Parrott, Pape Matar Sarr, Davinson Sanchez, Ryan Sessegnon, Club Ambassador Ledley King and special guest, former Spurs and South Korean international legend Young-pyo Lee at a special event at Son Gijeong Park, hosted by Nike and Active Modoo, a programme that encourages young girls to live healthier and happier lives by promoting sport.

The players were introduced by GFD coach Nick Hardy, and were soon showing their skills to a delighted audience, before joining the session, offering tips, advice and practical demonstrations. The session ended with the players presenting gifts to participants.

Players meet 250 staff at AIA

Heung-Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski, Lucas, Malachi Fagan-Walcott and Harvey White travelled to AIA Tower, the home of our Global Principle Partner, in Jung-gu for a special meet and greet with 250 staff members which included a Q&A session and the chance to mark the occasion with a special photograph below, where players and staff are joined by Nathan Chuang, CEO, AIA Korea and Ji-Ye Hwang, Chief Marketing Officer, AIA Korea.
