Kulusevski wins prestigious Swedish award

Wed 28 December 2022, 19:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Dejan Kulusevski has earned recognition for a stand-out first year in the Premier League by being awarded the 2022 Guldbollen, the prize for Sweden’s best male player.

Presented by national newspaper Aftonbladet and the Swedish Football Association, the prestigious award is handed out at the end of each calendar year, with Dejan, at 22, becoming the youngest recipient of the trophy since 1990, when Tomas Brolin – part of the successful Parma side at the time, who later played for Leeds United and Crystal Palace – claimed the honour.

Since joining us on loan from Juventus last January, ‘Deki’ has shone in our colours, scoring six goals and providing 13 assists across 33 appearances in all competitions.

He has also scored one goal and laid on three assists in seven games for the Sweden national team during that time.

Congratulations, Dejan!
