Team news ahead of Newcastle - latest on Davies, Sessegnon and Skipp

Fri 01 April 2022, 15:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Antonio Conte reports that Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon are closing in on a return to action as we prepare to face Newcastle United on Sunday (4.30pm).

Skippy has been sidelined by a groin issue and last featured against Chelsea on 23 January while Ryan picked up a hamstring injury during our 5-0 win against Everton on 7 March.

Speaking to us on Friday, Antonio said: “The good news is that Skippy and Sessegnon are very close to being back with the team, to having training sessions with us. They are not yet ready for the game against Newcastle, but they are improving.”

Meanwhile, Ben Davies is available after missing Wales’ friendly against Czech Republic on Tuesday. Antonio added: “Ben is okay. He had a little problem, but he’s available.”
