Nuno, Dier up for Premier League monthly awards

Nuno Espirito Santo and Eric Dier have been nominated for the Premier League's first monthly awards of 2021/22.

Our new Head Coach Nuno is shortlisted for August's Barclays Manager of the Month while central defender Eric is in the running for EA Sports Player of the Month.

It's been the perfect start for Nuno and the squad in the Premier League with three wins out of three and three clean sheets against Manchester City, Wolves and Watford to top the early table. Eric has helped marshal the defence through all three 1-0 victories, all different, with the expected threat of champions City, relentless pressure from Wolves at Molineux and then Watford proving a tough nut to crack back at home on Sunday.

Nuno has guided us to the only 100 per cent record so far in the Premier League and he's shortlisted alongside Everton's Rafa Benitez, David Moyes at West Ham and Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel.

Eric, meanwhile, is up against Marcos Alonso (Chelsea), Michail Antonio (West Ham), Said Benrahma (West Ham), Demarai Gray (Everton) and Mason Greenwood (Manchester United).
