N17 Live presenter Ben Haines and Club commentator Rob Daly take a quick look back at Leeds and ahead to our UEFA Europa Conference League match against NS Mura at Maribor’s Stadion Ljudski vrt this evening (5.45pm UK).

“It wasn’t our best performance against Leeds, but the thing I loved was that after we went 1-0 down at half-time, Antonio Conte changed it, and we completed turned it around in the second half. Tactically, we got the better of them, and that was quite special, watching Antonio recognising something wasn’t right and making subtle changes that changed the whole game. I was also buzzing to see some of the players get game time, Harry Kane looked sharp, Heung-Min Son looked good, defensively we were great and I thought Eric Dier was outstanding, striding out of defence and making things happen. In terms of NS Mura on Thursday, I want to see us being ruthless, going after them and for players to prove a point, showing that they deserve to play. Players will get opportunities and I’m so excited about Ryan Sessegnon’s return, the wing-back position will totally suit him and where he was best for Fulham, pushing on, finding his way into the box and making things happen in those advanced areas. I can see that happening again now. It was great to see Sergio Reguilon score his first goal against Leeds - we’re starting to see the influence of those high wing-backs.”

“It was an excellent result in the end against Leeds on Sunday. Leeds were superb in the first half, and I was a bit worried for Spurs, but Antonio Conte hit the nail on the head, it was a performance about character and fight in the end. I’m enjoying seeing Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal popping up in advanced positions, and it was great to see Sergio score his first goal for the club. He’s come close a few times and enjoyed that moment! There is a feel-good factor around the club at the moment, and lots of good performances against Leeds. I agree with Ben, I thought Eric Dier was excellent and we saw those little link-up moments between Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura. So, lots to be positive about. In terms of NS Mura, they aren’t having the best of times at the moment despite being defending champions in Slovenia. I’m hoping to see some impressive performances from those players currently outside the starting XI of the Premier League. Antonio is so positive and encouraging, for example, the way he spoke about Ryan Sessegnon in his press conference on Wednesday. How nice would it be to have two viable options at left wing-back in Sergio and Ryan for the rest of the season? Antonio will need the full squad and it feels like everyone will have an opportunity. A win in Slovenia would be very nice going into Sunday’s game at Burnley.”
