Harry and Sonny in PFA Premier League Team of the Year

Fri 04 June 2021, 17:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane have been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for the 2020/21 season.

The XI, voted for annually by the players, recognises the top flight’s outstanding performers and this year, both Sonny and Harry’s displays have earned the pair a place.

This is the first time in three years that we have had representatives in the XI and, while it is Harry’s fifth appearance in the line-up of his career (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18), it is Sonny’s debut.

Harry’s selection comes after a stunning campaign for our number 10 as he finished top of both the Premier League’s goals (23) and assists charts (14), becoming just the second player in the competition’s history to do so outright.

Son, meanwhile, also enjoyed an impressive season in a Spurs shirt with the South Korean star recording his best-ever Premier League goals return, finding the back of the net 17 times this year. Like last season, the forward also registered double figures for assists (10) which saw him become the first Spurs player in Premier League history to record double figures in both goals and assists in consecutive campaigns.
