Wycombe v Spurs – how to watch, team news, key information

Sun 24 January 2021, 15:08|Tottenham Hotspur

We return to Emirates FA Cup action on Monday night with a trip to Wycombe Wanderers in the fourth round, kick-off 7.45pm UK.

Propping up the Championship table with 15 points from their 23 domestic games, the Chairboys provided us with a stern test at this stage of the competition as recently as 2017 when we needed late goals from Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son to give us a 4-3 victory at White Hart Lane.

Ahead of the match, here’s our usual run-down of all the key information you need to know...

How can I watch the game?

Monday night’s visit to Wycombe is being shown live in the UK on BT Sport, kick-off 7.45pm.

BBC Radio 5 Live will carry live commentary, as will our live Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you can also enjoy live minute-by-minute text updates, goal alerts and stats, meaning you won’t miss a kick.

Full worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

How will the teams line up?

Long-serving defender Anthony Stewart is sidelined for Wycombe, while Jose Mourinho said on Friday that he was monitoring right-backs Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty plus midfielder Dele over “small problems”, although he didn’t rule any of them out of Monday’s match completely.

Midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, however, will miss the game as he continues his recovery from injury.

Once again, both teams can name up to nine substitutes in this competition, of which five can be used, following an update to the rule book prior to the third round.

Teams are permitted a maximum of three opportunities, excluding half-time, to make substitutions during normal time, and have the ability to carry over any unused substitutes and make a further substitution should the tie progress to extra-time.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Jonathan Moss will be the man in the middle on Monday night.

Marc Perry and Daniel Robathan will serve as his assistants, with Kevin Friend in place as the fourth official.

Wycombe will play in their usual two-tone blue quartered shirts and dark blue shorts and socks with their goalkeeper in black.

We’ll also be in our home kit – white shirts, navy shorts and white socks – with our goalkeeper in orange.

What will the weather be like?

There was heavy snowfall in High Wycombe on Sunday, but much more favourable conditions are forecast for Monday, with sunny spells for much of the day. It’ll still feel cold, though, and temperatures are expected to be around one degree at kick-off.
