We are delighted to announce that Nile John and Marqes Muir have signed their first professional contracts with the Club.

Midfielder Nile, 17, has made 12 appearances for our Under-18s this season and featured for the Under-23s in our recent 5-1 win over Brighton in the Premier League 2. He has signed a contract until 2023.

Central defender Marqes, 18, has made 11 appearances at Under-18 level in all competitions so far in 2020/21, captaining the side on two occasions. His contract runs until 2022.

The pair join Under-18s team-mates Max Robson and Isak Solberg, who signed their first professional contracts with us earlier this season until 2023 and 2022 respectively.

Academy Manager Dean Rastrick said: "We are delighted that these talented young players have furthered their commitment to the Club by signing their first professional contracts with us and we look forward to working with them through the next stages of their development. As is the nature of football, different players sign contracts at different times, so we hope that by the end of the season, more of our current group of talented scholars will have signed contracts with us."
