Premier League fixture changes

A reminder that due to our participation in the group stage of the Europa Conference League - and playing European matches on Thursday evenings - Premier League matches immediately following a Europa Conference League fixture will move from Saturday to Sunday.

Our opponents

Based in Rennes, Stade Rennais finished sixth in Ligue 1 last season and reached the group stage by beating Rosenborg of Norway 5-1 on aggregate in the play-off.

Vitesse Arnhem finished fourth in the Eredivisie in 2020/21 to reach the third qualifying round of the competition. They beat Dundalk of the Republic of Ireland 4-3 on aggregate and then toppled Belgian side Anderlecht 5-4 on aggregate in the play-off.

NS Mura, from Murska Sobota in Slovenia, won the Slovenian PrvaLiga in 2020/21 to take their place in the first qualifying round of the Champions League this season. They beat Shkendija (North Macedonia) 6-0 on aggregate but lost 3-1 over two legs against Ludogorets (Bulgaria) in the second qualifying round - coincidentally, we played both Shkendija and Ludogorets in last season's Europa League qualifying.

NS Mura then beat Zalgiris (Lithuania) 1-0 on aggregate in the third qualifying round of the Europa League before losing 5-1 on aggregate to Sturm (Austria) in the play-off.
