We are delighted to announce that Spurs Women head coaches Karen Hills and Juan Amoros have signed new contracts with the Club until 2022.

Voted the Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL) Manager of the Month in September last season, their first month managing in the top-flight, Karen and Juan guided the team to a seventh-place finish in our maiden campaign in the WSL.

Last season also saw Karen and Juan’s side reach the Women’s FA Cup quarter-final for the first time in our history with a tie against Arsenal due to be played at Meadow Park next month.

Karen took charge of Spurs Women in 2007 and was joined by Juan four years later. The duo have played a vital part in the rise of the Women’s team, guiding the side through the divisions as a semi-professional outfit, before earning promotion to the top flight of women’s football and turning fully professional in 2019.

Our opening fixture of the new WSL season comes on Sunday (6 September) when we take on West Ham at The Hive - kick-off is 2pm.

Karen said: “I’m really pleased to extend my time at this fantastic Club. Juan and I showed our qualities as managers last season and we want to continue to drive this team forward. We’re looking forward to our second season in the top-flight and with the new players we’ve brought in this summer, we are confident that we can keep working our way up.”

Juan said: “I’m delighted to be leading this fantastic group of players and staff for another two years, alongside Karen, and hopefully we can make it another successful season for Spurs Women. We’ve been growing and growing for the last 10 years and it fills me with great pride and satisfaction to have signed a new contract here.”
