Hannah Godfrey and Rianna Dean have taken the honours in the 2019/20 Spurs Women end-of-season awards.

Central defender Hannah has been rewarded for a stellar first campaign in our colours, claiming both the Player of the Season and Juniors’ Player of the Season accolades, as voted for by our supporters.

Fans also selected striker Rianna’s perfectly-placed stooping header against West Ham at the London Stadium in September as our Goal of the Season.

It comes as deserved recognition for the duo after making key contributions at their respective ends of the field during our debut campaign in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL).

Still only 22, Hannah returned to the UK to sign for us last summer after spending four years in America and swiftly established herself as a lynchpin of our defensive unit.

She made 15 appearances in all competitions over the course of the truncated season including 14 league starts, impressing enough to earn a first senior international call-up for Scotland back in November, marking her debut with a clean sheet and a goal in a 5-0 victory over Albania.

Rianna’s incredible effort in our WSL trip to West Ham on 29 September came on what was her first start in the top flight and set us on our way to a memorable 2-0 victory in front of 24,790 fans at the London Stadium.

The 21-year-old has emerged as our top scorer in each of the last two consecutive seasons since arriving from Millwall Lionesses, notching 10 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions during 2019/20.

Congratulations to both Hannah and Rianna, and thank you to all our supporters who cast their votes.
