Update – European Club Rugby finals at new stadium

Thu 09 July 2020, 14:45|Tottenham Hotspur

We can confirm that, in accordance with today’s announcement by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR), Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will now play host to the Heineken Champions Cup and European Rugby Challenge Cup finals in 2022.

European club rugby's blue-riband weekend event had initially been set to come to N17 on 21/22 May, 2021.

However, due to the many uncertainties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, EPCR has decided to relocate the 2020 Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals from their original host city of Marseille, with the 2021 events now being held in the south of France instead.

In line with this adjustment, the matches at our stadium have been moved back a year to 2022, with exact dates and further details to be confirmed in due course.

This prestigious event will be the seventh European Cup rugby final to be played in England and the first to be held in London outside of Twickenham Stadium, the home of England's national rugby union team.
