Junior members’ Christmas surprise!

Our latest One Hotspur Moment saw a group of lucky Junior members dial in for a Christmas call with two very special guests.

There was excitement all round as the callers – including juniors from Denmark and Dubai – were introduced to Steven Bergwijn and Jack Clarke.

Ben Haines from N17 Live was our host, as we warmed up with the two players asking the questions in a Spurs quiz. Then it was time for our Spurs Christmas Scavenger Hunt. Each Junior had just 60 seconds to dash around their houses finding different themed items.

Stevie and Jack voted for their favourites in each round, with spot-prizes of signed Spurs caps for the winners. Special mentions go to the two juniors who rushed back to their webcams with (1) a large, fully-decorated Christmas tree, and (2) a pair of family cats!

Then the members got to turn the tables by asking their own questions to the players in a special Q&A session. We got to enjoy some tough questions, including the lads’ opinions on VAR, their favourite kit this season and who had the best dance moves in the dressing room – Serge Aurier getting their vote!

After a tough year of COVID-19 lockdowns, this was a real moment to remember and one proud Dad, James Drury, told us: “My son Oliver is still buzzing from the experience today!”

Another father, Marvyn Langston, said: “My daughter Ella was so chuffed she got to speak to the players. Thank you.”
