Carabao Cup semi-final date/KO details

Our Carabao Cup semi-final at home against Brentford will take place on Tuesday 5 January, kick-off 7.45pm.

A reminder that this is a one-legged semi-final, and if the scores are level at the end of 90 minutes, extra time will be played on this occasion, followed by penalties if required. A fourth substitute will be permitted in extra time.

We reached the last four by beating Stoke 3-1 in the quarter-finals last night. Currently fourth in the Championship, Brentford beat Newcastle in the quarter-final on Tuesday night, having already accounted for Southampton, West Brom and Fulham in the competition.

The other semi-final is a Manchester derby between City and United on Wednesday 6 January.

Final date change

If we're successful against Brentford, please note that the 2020/21 Carabao Cup Final will now take place on Sunday 25 April, 2021, kick-off 4pm at Wembley Stadium (previously Sunday 28 February, 2021).
