Spurs Women hit five in dominant pre-season win over London Bees

London Bees 0-5 Spurs Women

Wed 26 August 2020, 11:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Angela Addison scored twice as Spurs Women cruised to a 5-0 win against London Bees in a behind closed doors pre-season friendly at The Hive last night (Tuesday 25 August).

Hannah Godfrey opened the scoring against the FA Women’s Championship side with her first goal for the Club, before Addison’s brace and a goal from Kit Graham gave us a 4-0 advantage before the interval.

Although she didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet, Siri Worm put in an excellent shift, assisting three goals in the first half.

Rianna Dean, who came off the bench at half-time, scored a penalty to make it 5-0 and wrap up a comfortable pre-season win for Karen Hills and Juan Amoros’ side.

We broke the deadlock after 13 minutes – Graham and Lucy Quinn combined in a short corner routine before Graham sent a delightful ball into the box which Godfrey headed with power into the bottom right corner – her first goal in Spurs colours since she arrived from the States in July, 2019.

Addison doubled our lead seven minutes later from another set piece.

Worm’s corner was headed across the goal by Kerys Harrop, reaching the Dutch international who arrived quickly into the box, before her strike was parried into the path of Addison by Bees’ goalkeeper Sarah Quantrill, leaving our number 14 to tuck it home from close range.

Graham extended our lead in the 38th minute when she peeled off her marker to head in a superb long ball from Worm and make it 3-0.

Addison scored our fourth on the stroke of half-time when she latched on to a long ball from Worm and fired it past Quantrill into the bottom left corner.
