Tanguy Ndombele has won our first Goal of the Month vote of the season.

The French midfielder takes the honour for August in convincing style after collecting half of the votes for his fine debut strike in our Premier League opener against Aston Villa.

Trailing 1-0 going into the final 20 minutes, Tanguy lit the touch paper at the new stadium with a pinpoint drive from the edge of the box. That paved the way for our comeback with Harry Kane’s double eventually securing a 3-1 victory.

Lucas Moura’s first-touch equaliser at Manchester City was second in the voting with young striker Troy Parrott’s curler against City in the Premier League 2 at the new stadium a close third.
