Travel Update – Test Event one

Wed 20 March 2019, 16:37|Tottenham Hotspur

Please be aware that, due to planned engineering works, there will be no Abellio train services via Tottenham Hale and Northumberland Park stations for Sunday’s first Test Event match at the new stadium, kick off 3pm.

However, all London Overground services will stop at White Hart Lane and Seven Sisters - both of which are in walking distance from the stadium - with some Abellio services diverted through these stations. On average, there will be a train every six minutes in both directions.

London Liverpool Street national rail station, meanwhile, will be closed to all services other than the London Overground and the diverted Abellio trains. There are no Abellio Greater Anglia services to or from Essex.

With planned engineering works taking place on many railway routes into London this weekend, please check with your local train operator before you travel. However, note that the diverted Abellio services running through White Hart Lane and Seven Sisters will appear in the National Rail Journey Planner.

Abellio has provided a further summary of their regional services as follows:
• Hertford East services will terminate at Broxbourne (change for connecting service to London)
• Cambridge and Stansted Airport services will be diverted via Seven Sisters (and will stop at White Hart Lane from 1200 to 2000)
• Bishop's Stortford to Stratford services will not run
• Southend Victoria services will have a rail replacement bus service to Newbury Park connecting into the Central line towards London (Crossrail engineering works)
• Ipswich, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester and Norwich services will terminate at Ingatestone with a rail replacement bus service to Newbury Park connecting into the Central line towards London (Crossrail Engineering Works)

The Victoria line will operate a normal Sunday service at 25 trains per hour each way, every two to three minutes, before and after the match. Fans are able to access both Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale via the Victoria line and walk to the stadium.

The four bus services from Seven Sisters station will be diverted away from the stadium area from two hours before kick-off as a result of matchday road closures.

Meanwhile, although our two new shuttle bus services and regional coaches will not be in operation for this match, we shall be operating these services for the Legends match on Saturday 30 March.
