Harry Winks has hailed ‘fantastic’ Moussa Sissoko.
French international Moussa has been enjoying a fine season for us and is looking stronger and stronger with every game he plays.
He has just battled through a busy festive period where he played his part in every single game, completing the full 90 minutes in all but one of our 10 fixtures over recent weeks - only Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld played more minutes in that period.
His attitude and determination make him the model professional for Harry - and someone who the young England international can look up to.
“We knew his quality anyway. He’s a top player, top professional and he’s showing everyone how good he is,” our number eight explained. “He’s fit, powerful and gets more powerful the more games he plays. Credit to him, he’s fantastic.
“He’s a top guy, top player, top professional and someone I look up to in terms of his professionalism and how he conducts himself. He’s been great with me and he deserves all the praise he’s getting at the moment.”
With injuries to Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama, Harry and Moussa have had to gel quickly to form a strong midfield bond.
While our Academy graduate control plays from deep, his French colleague has tended to push forward from the centre of the park to open up the field for our forwards to work their magic.
“It’s a nice partnership at the moment. It’s going well,” Harry said.
“We’re getting good results and that’s most important. Collectively we’re playing well, apart from the Wolves game.
"We’re playing well as a team and hopefully that will continue.”
