Young striker Kazaiah Sterling has been nominated for January's Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
The 20-year-old, who made his second appearance for our first team in last weekend's FA Cup defeat at Crystal Palace before joining League One Sunderland on loan on transfer deadline day, scored in a 1-1 home draw with Liverpool on 7 January before setting up Vincent Janssen to equalise as our away game against West Ham finished with the same scoreline six days later.
Kazaiah was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself against the Hammers, with his penalty kick well saved by goalkeeper Joseph Anang.
Norwich City's Anthony Spyrou, Stoke City's Thibaud Verlinden and Jahmal Hector-Ingram of West Ham are also on the shortlist for the award, with the Premier League set to announce the winner next week.
Central midfielder Oliver Skipp was our last winner of the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award in September.
