Eric Dier and Erik Lamela have returned to training with the squad ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

Both players missed Sunday's Premier League win over Leicester City, Dier because of a virus and Lamela over a back problem.

Left-back Danny Rose sustained a shin wound against Leicester and will be assessed ahead of the last 16, first leg clash, although manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed the England international won’t be able to start: “For tomorrow it’s impossible to start from the beginning. Tomorrow morning we are going to assess if he can be on the bench and if it’s possible to help the team if we need him but for the starting XI, as of today, he’s not available.”

Vincent Janssen is ineligible for Wednesday’s match while Dele Alli (hamstring), Ben Davies (groin) and Harry Kane (ankle) are continuing with their rehabilitation.

Kick-off is at 8pm.
